Often and by default, a group of people simply called ‘They’ get the credit for creating and shaping the built environment.  How many times have you heard that ‘They’ are building a new apartment building downtown or ‘They’ are building a new shopping center up the road.  I loosely define ‘They’ as the confluence of supply & demand, means & methods, technology & finance, sentiment & taste; as these factors evolve, the proverbial ‘They’ will evolve – and that is what this laboratory is intended to study.
